Vision

The vision of the School of Secondary Education Language Programmes are as follows:

Prepare the student – teachers for the task of teaching the languages thus (English, French, Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba) at the primary and Junior Secondary School levels.

Make students to be condiment and competent in the use of languages for various purposes.

To equip students to teach various languages effectively at the Junior Secondary School level.

To equip student teachers with the basic skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing in the various languages such as (English, French, Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba).

Expose the student – teachers to the rich socio – cultural and political lives of the speakers of the languages that is French, Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba.

Overview

The school prepares the students & teachers for the task of teaching the languages thus (English, French, Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba) at the primary and Junior Secondary School levels.

To enhance and produce professional teachers of English will assist in eradicating the use of substandard English within and outside the College and also rebrand the country's reading culture

Department of Hausa

The vision of the department is to produce qualitative Hausa L2 teachers, who will be able to teach effectively in primary and junior secondary school level.
